Aging is a worry for many people, but can be slowed down by remaining healthy. Daily exercise and a healthy diet can reduce aging effects, especially by drinking water. Getting plenty of sleep and handling your skin is another way to ensure you reduce wrinkles. Everyone ages, but that doesn’t mean you can’t age well!
Skip the heavy makeup and powders every now and then. Although they make us look lovely for the short term, they are adding to the aging of your skin. Makeup generally hurts the skins ability to hydrate and stay elastic. Give your skin a break and take a few days off a week from more than just a slip of lip gloss.
As we age, you should keep up on regular eye exams. As we age, our eyes age too and are more susceptible to diseases such as cataracts and macular degeneration. These conditions impair vision and make walking and driving more difficult, which can in turn impose danger to ourselves and others.
Work with some weights to keep yourself looking younger. A toned body is a young body no matter what the chronological age may say. Working with the appropriate weights for your health will help you keep your body toned and looking fit, which will take years off of your body and soul.
Watch your caloric intake in order to decelerate your aging. Overeating and obesity are linked with more health problems than can be listed here. Talk with your doctor about how many calories you should be taking in at your age, weight and fitness level and then stick to it.
Aging shouldn’t be a time to sit around and grow old! This is your time to enjoy life and experience something totally new! Do something you always wanted to do. Take a cruise, go to Vegas, write a book! Even a new pet may bring new joy and be a positive chance to learn!
Exercise can improve the aging process. As we get older, our muscle mass naturally declines, making everyday activities more difficult and reducing the number of calories we burn. While aerobic exercise helps maintain muscle mass and control weight, resistance exercise has the added benefit of helping maintain bone mass.
One of the best ways to look younger is to refrain from smoking. Another advantage of not smoking is that you will live longer than if you smoke. With that said, it is very important to avoid both primary and secondary smoking because it has very harsh effects to your body.
